I would like to introduce you to CENTURY 21 WEST-MAN REALTY LTD., a "full service" real estate company. Our office is located in Brandon, the second largest city in Manitoba, the centre of agriculture. We have a professionally trained staff of around forty agents, covering all areas of real estate - residential, commercial, investment, farms and ranches - spread throughout the West-Man area.
Century 21 West-Man Realty Ltd. is a franchise of Canada's largest real estate network. With over 300+ offices coast-to-coast in Canada, we feel this "national connection" allows us to provide excellent service to our overseas clientele.
Mr. Maurice Torr, previously our associate in Leek, Staffordshire, is a partner with our firm in Brandon, Manitoba. Maurice is specialising in farm sales with some thirty-five years of real estate experience - twenty five of which have been working with prospective immigrants from the United Kingdom and Europe. Mr. Jack Nesbit has fifteen years of farm real estate experience with the overseas market. Jack undertakes his real estate activities in conjunction with successfully operating a substantial mixed grain and cattle farm in the western part of the province. Last year they showed some numerous prospective purchasers around Manitoba farms, resulting in sales to overseas buyers.
Maurice and Jack will be pleased to assist you in finding your new home and business, arranging finances, securing your visa, and finally, settling in the community and meeting your new neighbours.
We look forward to have the opportunity of being of assistance to you and your family at some time in the future!
Dependably yours,
CENTURY 21 WEST-MAN REALTY LTD.

I was born an d raised on a mixed dairy farm in North Staffordshire, England, where I lived until I married my wife Lynn in 1971. Three years previous at age 20, I commenced employment with a local firm of auctioneers, valuers, and estate agents. During the ensuing years, I trained as a livestock auctioneer and agricultural valuer, attaining my full designation with the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. In 1976, I became a partner with a Cheshire auctioneering firm, and by 1980 had developed a working relationship with a company of Manitoba realtors assisting farmers interested in emigrating to Canada. In 1987, Lynn and I with our children Louise and John emigrated to Manitoba, where I joined the partnership of Century 21 West-Man Realty. Over the past 25 years, it has been my privilege and pleasure in assisting over 240 farming families in emigrating from Britain and Ireland, and resettling in Canada.

I was brought up in the Scottish Borders on a Mixed farm, being educated at the Berwickshire High School in Duns. On leaving school, I attended Oatridge Agricultural College and obtained my NCA in agriculture, after which I returned to the family farm in 1975. The following year, my wife Carolyn and I were married, and operated the farm until 1988 when we sold up and moved to Canada with our three children and my parents. Our farm in Manitoba was strictly Grain, so in the autumn of 1988, I sat the real estate exams and have been actively involved in the sale of farms to many overseas clients since the spring of 1989, a number of whom have become close friends and acquaintances. Over the years, we have built up our farming operation in Manitoba and now have some 4,000 acres of grain land together with a cattle feedlot and around 60 suckler cows . |

Encompassing nearly half of the North American Continent, is the second largest country in the world, and consequently enormous contrasts exist, consisting of rugged mountain chains, endless prairies, huge forests, countless lakes and rivers, pleasant summers, cold winters, busy cities and large unpopulated areas. The Trans-Canada Highway, which connects the east and west coast is just short of 4900 miles long. The distance from Halifax (on the east coast) to Vancouver (on the west coast) is greater than the distance between Halifax (Canada) to London (England).
